Neufchâteau beat Kontich Wolves 91–82 behind Samuel Schadeck's 42

Neufchâteau finally broke through. After five straight defeats to open the season, they held off Kontich Wolves in a second-half grind that stretched to overtime, 91–82, to record their first win of the regular season. The hosts led from the opening tip and built their cushion early in the third quarter, racing to an 18-point advantage (65–47 with 3:37 left in the quarter) after a crisp 10-0 run put them in control at 58–44. But Kontich Wolves refused to fold. They outscored Neufchâteau 19–8 in the fourth quarter to force extra time at 77–77, mounting a genuine comeback when it mattered most. Overtime told a different story. Neufchâteau seized control again, outscoring the Wolves 14–5 in the extra period to close out a hard-fought result. Samuel Schadeck anchored the win with a dominant 42 points on 15-of-21 shooting, 4-of-7 from three and a perfect 8-for-8 at the line, adding 10 rebounds and a block. Hugo Deneve chipped in 12 points and 12 boards, while Nicolas Sturam contributed 12 points with three assists. Yannick Desiron kept Kontich within reach all night, posting 31 points on efficient 10-of-13 shooting and 10-of-11 free throws; Joeri Vermoesen pulled down 15 rebounds alongside 14 points, yet it was not enough. Neufchâteau travel to Bavi Vilvoorde on Sunday 25 Oct, looking to build on the breakthrough.
