Kontich Wolves and Basics Melsele-Beveren tip off in the Beker van België at Sporthal Sint Rita tonight, and this one hinges on two scorers in opposite form. Yannick Desiron has carried Kontich Wolves all season at 23.4 points per game — he'll need to maintain that output against a Basics defence looking to disrupt his rhythm. On the flip side, Milo Hautekeet brings 21.2 PPG for Basics Melsele-Beveren and has been their engine in cup play. If either forward goes cold, the supporting cast gets exposed fast in a knockout format. Cup ties are unforgiving. One good quarter from the bench, one lapse on defence in transition, and the season ends. Tipoff is at Sporthal Sint Rita — tune in to see who advances.
