Final recap

Leicester Riders rout London Lions by 21 behind Bernard Pelote's 33

Leicester Riders' first win of the season came at the cost of London Lions' first defeat. The visitors overpowered the previously unbeaten Lions 97-76, ending an eight-game winning run in comprehensive fashion. The opening quarter stayed tight — Lions led 22-20 — but Leicester seized control through the second, taking a 41-39 half-time lead. The third quarter proved decisive. A 12-0 run midway through that period, stretching the score from 46-45 to 46-57, shifted the game entirely. Leicester outscored Lions 29-18 in the third alone to establish a commanding 70-57 advantage heading into the fourth. Lions could not recover. Leicester maintained their stranglehold late in the final quarter, stretching their lead to 23 points at 95-72 with just over two minutes remaining. Both sides had traded leads repeatedly in the early stages — 15 lead changes and eight ties — but the decisive run exposed the gulf between the teams when it mattered. Bernard Pelote dominated for Leicester, posting 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting with five three-pointers made. Jaylon White added 28 points and six assists, with Callum Lawson contributing 11 from the bench. Thomas Kennedy led Lions with 20 points on efficient 8-of-12 shooting; Joshua O'Garro chipped in 10 points and three assists, but it was not enough. Leicester travel to Caledonia Gladiators on Sunday 15 November. Lions host Surrey 89ers on Friday 13 November as they look to bounce back.
