Phantoms Basket Boom rout Union BC Quaregnon by 28 behind Bert Van De Broek's 17
Phantoms Basket Boom dismantled Union BC Quaregnon 87–59, a 28-point rout that never left room for doubt. The visitors led from the opening tip and controlled the tempo throughout Group A play. Quaregnon trailed 11–28 after the first quarter and could not recover. Phantoms Basket Boom stretched the lead to 29–49 by half-time, then turned the screws in the third. An 11-0 run mid-quarter — taking the score from 40–57 to 40–68 — effectively ended any contest. The gulf widened in the fourth; Phantoms Basket Boom's largest advantage reached 30 points with 3:21 remaining. Bert Van De Broek led the way with 17 points on a flawless 7/7 shooting, adding 3 assists and 6 rebounds. Joppe Bouckaert matched that 17-point output on 7/11 from the field, while Johan Koung Poute contributed 14 points. For Quaregnon, Sven Poisson's 15 points on 7/13 shooting were the bright spot in an otherwise subdued offensive night. Union BC Quaregnon host Royal Nivelles Basketball on Sunday 11 October.
