Blondeau Tchoukuiegno is running the Newcastle Eagles offence at another level this season. The 53 TIB Efficiency rating tells you everything — he's averaging 11.5 points and 4 assists in recent form, orchestrating play with the kind of precision that's become essential to Newcastle's rhythm. Christian Keeling, though, comes in hot for Caledonia Gladiators. A 44 rating sits him just behind, but his 13 points per game speaks to a sharper scoring touch; the gap between his volume and his playmaking (2 assists) suggests Caledonia want him hunting shots more than distributing. That's the match within the match. Can Newcastle control tempo through Tchoukuiegno's decision-making, or will Keeling's scoring punch force the Eagles to chase? Both sides know the answer matters more than the assist numbers suggest. Super League action tips off in three hours.
