Final recap

Donar Groningen beat ZZ Leiden 96–83 behind Aleksandre Merkviladze's 27

Donar Groningen halted a two-game losing run with a 13-point win over ZZ Leiden, one that looked far tighter than the final scoreline suggested before the fourth quarter blew it open. The teams traded the lead six times and tied four in a tightly contested first half, with Leiden briefly leading by 7 early in the opening quarter before Donar answered with an 11-0 run to seize control. By half-time, Donar led 43–39, a margin they maintained through three quarters at 68–65. The decisive shift came in the fourth. Donar outscored Leiden 28–18 in that frame, and by the 19-second mark were up 96–83. The visitors had scraped back to within 3 at the close of the third quarter, but had no answer for Donar's late-game execution. Aleksandre Merkviladze led the visitors with 27 points on efficient shooting (9/16 FG, 4/8 from three), while Kevon Godwin added 20 points (7/11 FG, 4/8 three) and Bryan Antoine chipped in 13 (5/8 FG). For Leiden, Sam Huurman's 21 points on 9/14 shooting and a 2/3 three-point line kept them competitive early, but Anias Futrell's 13 points and 10 rebounds (double-double) could not anchor a second-half stand. Donar climb to 3–2 in the regular season; Leiden drop to 2–3. Next up, Leiden travel to CityX Mons on Saturday.
