Final recap

Basket SKT Ieper beat Neufchâteau 79–63

Basket SKT Ieper's defense in the first half did the heavy lifting. An 8-0 run early in the opening quarter — from 11-9 to 11-17 — set the tone, and by the break they led 28-44, a 16-point cushion that never wavered. Samuel Schadeck kept Neufchâteau in reach with 25 points on 9-of-20 shooting, and Hugo Deneve added a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds), but neither could shrink the gap. The third quarter was where Ieper put distance between them and any doubt. A 21-point lead at 39-60 with 3:26 left in the period — effectively the game in hand — spelled the end of the contest. Matteo Verstraete (14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, 4-of-6 from three) ran the offense cleanly, and Ozzy Massey's work on the glass (12 rebounds to go with 11 points) controlled the paint. Neufchâteau rallied in the fourth, outscoring Ieper 21-18, but it was too little too late. The final margin of 16 reflected a side that built its lead methodically in the first half and never let the opponent back in — a comfortable, controlled performance rather than anything chaotic. Ieper host BBC Croonen Lommel on Saturday 10 October. Neufchâteau travel to Basics Melsele-Beveren the same day.
