Tiago Nunes e Santos Cruz carried Basics Melsele-Beveren to a 19-point home win over Neufchâteau on Friday, posting 20 points, 9 rebounds and a pair of steals across 27 minutes. The forward shot 8-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-4 from three, and was perfect at the line (2-of-2 FT), finishing with just two turnovers in a clean, efficient display. The 92–73 result was never really in doubt after the opening exchanges, and Melsele-Beveren's control came down partly to balance, but also to Nunes e Santos Cruz doing the unglamorous work — his nine boards and low turnover rate meant the hosts could dictate pace and deny Neufchâteau second chances. A blowout win always needs someone to anchor both ends, and he was that player. Melsele-Beveren host their next fixture at 't wit zand. Neufchâteau return to the road.
