Ajani Faison's 30 points in 31 minutes nearly stole one for BBC Falco Gent, but one point was not enough. The Gent guard was clinical from the floor, shooting 13 of 18 overall and 3 of 6 from three, converting at will in the Top Division. His five steals spoke to defensive intensity across the court. Yet BBC Falco Gent fell by a single point at De Soeverein, 78–79, with Faison's 1-of-3 night at the free-throw line the final margin that would haunt. This was the kind of individual performance that ordinarily wins games — Faison was efficient and aggressive, exactly what a road team needs. BBC Croonen Lommel's defence found him anyway, and it cost Gent the result. The loss is one of those where the scorer plays well and the team still leaves empty-handed; forward movement comes only if everyone else rises to match him next time.
