Sam Caron took over from the perimeter at De Valkaart, landing 27 points on efficient 10-of-17 shooting to lead BC Asse-Ternat's attack, but it wasn't enough to overcome KBBC Oostkamp's balance. The visitors fell 91–98 in Group B play, a seven-point gap that underscored their road difficulty in Top Division Men 2. Caron's 5-of-6 work at the line and seven assists kept BC Asse-Ternat competitive through stretches, yet the three-point shot deserted him when it mattered — 2 of 7 from deep — and a lone turnover in 35 minutes was the only blemish on an otherwise clean floor game. He owned the first half rhythm and tried to sustain it, but Oostkamp's depth told over the full 40. It was a shooting night, not a systemic failure. For BC Asse-Ternat, the question now is whether the road form steadies before the next fixture.
