Union BC Quaregnon beat BC Asse-Ternat 66–60
Union BC Quaregnon held off BC Asse-Ternat 66–60 in a Beker van België Group Stage contest decided by defensive intensity down the stretch. The margin was six, but the game never felt settled—a hard-fought win for Quaregnon in a competition that demanded it. Asse-Ternat led 34–35 at half-time after a second quarter that saw them edge the scoring. Quaregnon answered with a 20–17 third quarter to take 55–51 into the fourth, then managed just 11 points over the final ten minutes while holding Asse-Ternat to 9—a slugfest in which neither team found rhythm but Quaregnon's defense held when it mattered most. Sander Van Ginderachter carried Asse-Ternat with 18 PTS on 6/13 shooting and 7 REB, his outside shot active but not enough to force the issue. Jan Goyens added 9 PTS, 9 REB, and Kevin Anneessens chipped in 9 PTS on solid 3-point shooting (3/6), but the bench depth never materialized into the push needed late. For Quaregnon, balance won out. Glodi Beya Beya finished with 12 PTS on 4/8 shooting and 5 REB. Milhan Pierzchala matched him at 12 PTS with three steals and efficient ball distribution. Sven Poisson added 11 PTS, 3 AST. Their collective defence—three steals apiece from Beya Beya and Pierzchala—was the difference when shots stopped falling. Group play is now done for both sides.
