Final recap

Hasselt BT beat CEP Fleurus 83–73 behind Wouter Screurs's 13

Hasselt BT held on down the stretch to take a 10-point win over CEP Fleurus in Group A, extending their control in a second half that began with an 18-point cushion. The two teams traded the lead repeatedly early — three changes and five ties through the opening half — before Hasselt built their biggest advantage at 54-36 with 7:15 left in the third quarter. CEP Fleurus clawed back hard. A composed fourth-quarter run saw them knife the deficit from 13 down to five, scoring eight straight to reach 64-69 midway through the final frame, but Hasselt's edge held firm through the closing minutes. The difference lay in execution when it mattered. Wouter Screurs ran Hasselt's offense with precision — 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting and four assists — while Kyrylo Meshcheriakov added 15 points and ball-handling in the clutch. CEP Fleurus got 25 from Jeremy Conreur on solid 9-of-17 work, and Thomas Blaise contributed 14 points with a game-high 10 makes from the foul line, but their late surge arrived one possession too late. At 35-44 at half-time, Hasselt had seized control with their second-quarter defense. CEP Fleurus finish with 73; Hasselt escape with 83. Hasselt BT host Andenne on Friday 16 October. CEP Fleurus visit Gent-Oost Eagles on Sunday 18 October.
