RBC Belgrade beat Basket Tongeren 61–53
Basket Tongeren's early control crumbled in the final quarter as RBC Belgrade pulled away to a hard-fought 61–53 victory in Group A play. Tongeren dictated the opening half, led by as many as 10 points early in the second quarter and held a 34–28 advantage at the break. An 11-0 run midway through the first—from 2-5 to 13-5—had given them genuine momentum. The third quarter stayed tight, Tongeren still ahead 46–41 heading into the final eight minutes. Belgrade's fourth quarter told a different story. They outscored Tongeren 20-7 to claim the eight-point win, seizing a 9-point lead with under two minutes to play. Tongeren never found their rhythm down the stretch; neither team shot well overall, but Belgrade's efficiency in that decisive period made the difference. Sam Proesmans led Tongeren with 13 points on 6-of-6 free throws, while Giuliano Neri added 13 and Jente Neven finished with 12 rebounds. For Belgrade, Mehdi Cerquarelli managed 14 points despite a tough 5-of-17 shooting night, with Vincent Mommer chipping in 12. Tongeren travel to Amon Jeugd Gentson on Saturday, looking to bounce back.
