Phantoms Basket Boom took control from the opening tip and never let go, routing St-Niklase Condors 85–70 in Group A play. The hosts led wire-to-wire, establishing a 25–15 cushion after the first quarter and then stretching it to 21 points late in the second (44–23 with 3:15 to play) before settling into halftime up 47–29. St-Niklase mounted a genuine threat in the third, outscoring Boom 25–13 to pull within six at 60–54, but Boom's depth proved decisive.
