Hasselt BT rout Basket Tongeren by 26 behind Daan Bijnens's 13
Hasselt BT dismantled Basket Tongeren 71–45 in Group A, extending their winning streak to five with a 26-point rout that was never in doubt after half-time. Tongeren opened with purpose, racing to an 18–5 lead with 3:08 left in the first quarter, but that early spark was the high point of their evening. Hasselt responded decisively in the second quarter, piecing together a 15–0 run midway through to swing momentum decisively. By half-time the visitors held a 31–26 edge, and the gulf widened into a chasm in the third: Hasselt outscored Tongeren 25–6 to open up a 24-point lead after three quarters. Tongeren's fourth-quarter effort (13 points) came far too late to matter. Daan Bijnens led Hasselt with 13 PTS on 5/9 shooting, while Kyrylo Meshcheriakov added 11 PTS and Chiel Koonings chipped in 11 PTS and 5 REB. For Tongeren, Jente Neven managed 10 PTS and 8 REB on a difficult 5/12 from the field. Tongeren drop to 2–4 in the competition, while Hasselt climb to 7–1. Tongeren host Gent-Oost Eagles on Saturday 7 November.
