Newcastle Eagles host Caledonia Gladiators in Super League Basketball this evening, with the Scottish side arriving on the back of inconsistent form and Newcastle seeking to extend their home advantage. Tavis Smith has been Newcastle's creative force all season, averaging 20.5 points per game, and will face a Caledonia defence anchored by Terry Roberts, whose 16.5 points per night gives the Gladiators a credible offensive platform. The matchup hinges on whether Newcastle can dictate pace early; Caledonia's perimeter game is most dangerous when given space to operate. Tip-off is in approximately six hours. Catch it live.
