Royal IV Brussels beat CEP Fleurus 90–81 behind Jad Riahi's 23
Royal IV Brussels held off a second-half comeback to edge CEP Fleurus 90–81 in Group A play, a hard-fought win that required a decisive fourth-quarter surge to bury a team that had clawed back from 15 down. The hosts came out sharp. Royal IV Brussels raced to 25–13 after one quarter, then stretched the lead to 15 points early in the second (30–15 with 8:36 to play in that frame). CEP Fleurus, though, chipped away. A 21-point second quarter brought them within 40–34 at the half, and they kept climbing through the third. By late in the third, Fleurus had taken the lead entirely—up 61–55 with just over a minute left in the quarter. Royal IV Brussels had no room for hesitation. An 8-0 run midway through the fourth flipped the script back to 63–61, and the hosts never surrendered again, outscoring Fleurus 29–20 in the final frame to secure a five-point cushion. Jad Riahi steered the home side. He finished with 23 points on efficient shooting (5/10 twos, 5/9 threes) to go with five rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Kenan Mbolhi Senga added 12 points on 6/8 from the field. For Fleurus, Nathan Flonet's 19 points on 7/12 shooting kept them competitive throughout. Royal IV Brussels host Royal Nivelles Basketball on Saturday, 3 October. Fleurus travel to RBC Namur Belgrade the next day.
