Gaëtan Hertay carried Basket Tongeren to a narrow away win over Union BC Quaregnon on Sunday, posting 23 points and 12 rebounds across 33 minutes in a 72–68 result that came down to the final possession. The forward was efficient throughout, connecting on 9 of 14 field attempts and converting 5 of 9 from three-point range — a hot shooting night that proved decisive in a Group A fixture where every possession mattered. He did not attempt a free throw and turned the ball over twice, but his rebounding work on both ends provided the foundation Basket Tongeren needed to hold off their hosts in a tightly contested contest. Union BC Quaregnon stayed within arm's reach until the closing stages, but Hertay's scoring and interior presence gave Basket Tongeren enough separation when it counted most. The win keeps the visitors competitive in the early run of the season.
