Veronika Vorackova did everything but score when Czechia Women NT needed her most. Up by one entering the final five minutes and overtime, the guard orchestrated from the perimeter with 2 assists while picking a steal and rejecting a shot — a two-way presence in a closing sequence that mattered. Across that window, she shot 1-for-4 from the field (0-for-2 from three), grabbed 2 rebounds and committed neither a turnover nor a foul. It was not enough. People's Republic of China Women NT outscored Czechia Women NT 73–71 over that same stretch — a four-point defeat that ended the Group D affair at 74–70 in China's favour. Vorackova's activity in crunch time underlined Czechia's resistance in a game that slipped away late.
