BC Asse-Ternat edge AB InBev Leuven Bears 77–75 in a nail-biter behind Sander Van Ginderachter's 18

BC Asse-Ternat held off a late charge from AB InBev Leuven Bears B to win 77–75 in a back-and-forth Group B contest. Eight lead changes and seven ties kept the result in doubt until the final possession. The visitors led by as many as 9 early in the third quarter at 38–47, but BC Asse-Ternat clawed back. A decisive 12-0 run in the fourth quarter — spanning from 59–64 to 71–64 midway through the period — gave the home side breathing room. Leuven Bears B refused to fold, though. They trimmed the lead to a single possession inside the final two minutes, yet could not find the equalizer as Asse-Ternat closed out 24–17 in the fourth. Sander Van Ginderachter led the hosts with 18 points on efficient 7/10 shooting, adding 8 rebounds. Sam Caron chipped in 16 points and converted 9 of 10 free throws despite a cold night from the field (3/13). For the Bears B, Mathis Coly scored 22 points on 4-for-7 from three, while Eise van Wayenburg posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. BC Asse-Ternat visit RBC Pepinster East Belgium on Saturday 19 September.
