Antoine Malliar's 72.3 efficiency rating sits well clear of the field in Belgian club basketball right now, and Basket Waregem will feel that weight tonight. The United Basket Woluwe forward has been a different tier lately — 20.8 points per game on recent form — and his ability to operate both as a scorer and occasional facilitator (1.4 assists) makes him the primary concern on the scouting report. Timo Casteele figures as Waregem's anchor. The 12-point, 3.5-assist man lacks Malliar's volume and efficiency margin, but his steadier distribution role — moving the ball more regularly — gives his team a different shape. How Waregem constructs its offence around Casteele's playmaking, and whether they can generate enough perimeter attention to loosen Malliar's space, may well decide the first half. United Basket Woluwe host at Salle Malou. Tip-off in a few hours.
