Basket SKT Ieper beat Bavi Vilvoorde 69–61 behind Matteo Verstraete's 22

Basket SKT Ieper held on in a hard-fought finish at Vilvoorde, securing an 8-point win that was never quite as comfortable as the margin suggests. Bavi Vilvoorde kept the pressure on late—especially in the fourth quarter, where they outscored Ieper 14-12—but the visitors had built too much cushion in the second quarter to be caught. Ieper's surge came early in the second frame. A 12-0 run midway through that quarter pushed them to 18-30, and they stretched it further to a 17-point lead (27-44 with 01:08 left in the half). Vilvoorde never recovered fully, though they clawed back from 47-57 down after three quarters with a fourth-quarter rally that fell just short. The halftime score stood at 35-44, a gap that proved decisive. Matteo Verstraete led Ieper's offense with 22 points on 7/14 shooting, connecting on 6 of 10 from three. Dauwe Vanneste added 13 points on an efficient 6/9 from the floor, while Thibaut Platteeuw chipped in 12. For Vilvoorde, Victor Ofili posted 14 points and 8 rebounds (5/13 FG, 2/3 three), and Vince Lammens contributed 13 points with two blocks. Basket SKT Ieper travel to Neufchâteau on Sunday 4 October. Bavi Vilvoorde host United Basket Woluwe on Friday 25 September.
