BBC Croonen Lommel beat Basics Melsele-Beveren 97–87 behind Bram Schelkens's 25

BBC Croonen Lommel ended Basics Melsele-Beveren's unbeaten start to the season, holding on for a 97–87 win in a contest that stayed competitive until the middle of the final quarter. Lommel built an 11-point half-time lead, 45–34, after winning both the opening quarter 24–20 and the second 21–14. Basics fought back level in the third—both teams scored 23 in that frame—but Lommel's defence tightened midway through the fourth. A 10-0 run in the third had already stretched Lommel's advantage to 48–34 mid-quarter; in the fourth, they pushed the margin to 15 points with 3:24 left before Basics trimmed it late. Melsele-Beveren won the final quarter 30–29, but it came too late. Bram Schelkens led Lommel with 25 points on efficient shooting (7/14 FG, 9/10 FT) and added 7 assists and 4 rebounds. Toon Wesenbeek shot 5/8 from the field and 3/4 from three for 16 points and 8 boards. Matthias Bovy contributed 16 points on 4/10 threes. Dorian Marchant's 22 points (6/10 FG) and Philippe Peeters' 21 (8/15 FG) kept Basics in it, but the early deficit proved too steep. Melsele-Beveren slip to 5–1; Lommel climb to 3–3 after a second defeat in three games. Lommel travel to Kontich Wolves on Friday.
