Partena Professional Okapi Aalst beat CityX Mons 83–69 behind Malik Thomas's 22
Partena Professional Okapi Aalst needed just one quarter to settle this one. After the sides exchanged leads through a level first half—22-21 to Aalst after Q1, tied at 44-44 at the break—Aalst exploded in the third. A devastating 22-0 run midway through the quarter shifted the game from competitive to one-sided; by the end of Q3, Aalst held a 20-point cushion at 69-49. CityX Mons found some rhythm in the fourth, outscoring Aalst 20-14 to close it to 14, but the damage was done. Malik Thomas anchored Aalst's control with 22 points and 10 rebounds on efficient shooting (8/16 FG, 4/4 FT), while Nick Davidson added 13 points and 7 boards. Elias Lasisi chipped in 11 points, three of them from range. Kylian Mpete led Mons with 19 points on 8/17 shooting, and Younes Boukichou scored 18, but neither could compensate for that third-quarter collapse. The result lifts Aalst to 4-1 in the Regular season. Mons stay winless at 0-5, now five straight defeats to start their campaign. Aalst travel to Brussels Basketball on Sunday; Mons host ZZ Leiden on Saturday.
