Final recap

Hungary Women NT beat Nigeria Women NT 71–67 behind Dorka Juhasz's 19

Hungary held off a late rally to edge Nigeria in a four-point finish that swung on execution down the stretch. The Hungarians built a 14-point lead midway through the second quarter—a 12-0 run that took them from 15-13 to 27-13—but Nigeria clawed back methodically. By halftime, the margin was just 10 (26-36). The third quarter remained even (both teams scored 16 apiece), and the fourth turned into a back-and-forth grind: Nigeria outscored Hungary 25-19 in that frame but couldn't quite catch up. One possession separated the sides inside the final two minutes before Hungary closed it out 71-67. Dorka Juhasz was the difference in the trenches. She finished with 19 points and 16 rebounds on 9-for-15 shooting—a double-double that controlled the glass when Nigeria pressed late. Virag Takacs-Kiss added 17 points and 14 boards (5/9 FG, 6/8 FT), and Reka Lelik chipped in 14 as Hungary's three-headed attack overwhelmed the boards. Amy Okonkwo led Nigeria's push with 17 points on efficient 5-for-10 shooting and 3-for-6 from three. Ezinne Kalu distributed (9 assists) but struggled to find rhythm offensively (4/15 FG). Elizabeth Balogun pitched in 13 points. The deficit in rebounding—Hungary's two bigs were relentless—proved decisive when margins were this thin. Nigeria host France on Monday; Hungary take on the Republic of Korea the same day.
