St-Niklase Condors beat St.-Truidense 87–82 behind Jean Barekiragaba's 17
St-Niklase Condors held off a St.-Truidense rally to win by five in a back-and-forth Group A matchup decided in the final two minutes. The Condors built an early cushion—leading by 11 midway through the second quarter—but a 29-point second half from St.-Truidense erased that edge entirely. The visitors took a nine-point lead early in the third quarter before Condors found their rhythm. A 10-0 mid-quarter run swung momentum back, pushing the score to 68–58, and though St.-Truidense clawed back to make it a one-possession game down the stretch, Condors closed out the fourth quarter matched point-for-point to seal the 87–82 result. Jean Barekiragaba led the Condors with 17 points on efficient shooting (6/11 FG, 3/5 three), while Anton Huyghe added 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Senne Geukens contributed 16 points with 6 assists. Lenn Leenen carried St.-Truidense with a game-high 26 points, though his 9/19 shooting reflected the Condors' defensive pressure down the stretch. Condors travel to Phantoms Basket Boom this Saturday. St.-Truidense host Royal IV Brussels on the same day.
