Cole Long's 16 points, nine rebounds and three steals in 30 minutes carried Newcastle Eagles to a commanding 91–67 victory over Caledonia Gladiators at home. The forward shot efficiently from the floor—6 of 13 overall, 3 of 7 from three—and added three assists while committing just one turnover, a balanced performance that reflected Newcastle's dominance across the night. The 24-point margin tells the story. Newcastle's depth and precision on both ends proved too much for Caledonia to match, and Long's ability to contribute without fouling out (he picked up no personal fouls) meant he could stay aggressive throughout. His defensive work—the three steals and two blocks—underscored a display that ranged from perimeter shooting to interior presence. Newcastle host their next Super League fixture in good shape. For Caledonia, the size of defeat will demand a serious reckoning.
