Lithuania U16 beat Romania U16 94–86
Sebastian-Petru Lapuste carried Romania U16 on his shoulders for 39 minutes, posting 34 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists in a Group A loss to Lithuania U16 (86–94). The performance was prolific across the board — he shot 11 of 22 from the field, made 4 of 9 threes, and was perfect from the free-throw line at 8 for 8 — yet it was not enough to overcome an eight-point deficit in the FIBA U16 EuroBasket match. What stood out alongside the scoring was his ball security and defensive intensity. Lapuste forced 10 steals, a statement statement of pressure on the court, though six turnovers and four fouls underlined the toll of carrying such a heavy load. Lithuania's defense managed to absorb his output and edge the result, a reminder that individual brilliance, no matter how complete, does not always bend the outcome.
