NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz

Pierre-Antoine Gillet was flawless in 26 minutes as Coretec Oostende held off NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz 86–77 at home in Group B of the FIBA Europe Cup. The Coretec guard went 4-for-4 from the floor and 4-for-4 from deep — a perfect night from distance — while adding 4 assists and 4 rebounds. He committed no turnovers and drew only three fouls in a controlled, economical display that epitomised what the hosts needed to close out a nine-point win. That shooting line, untouched across his stretch, was the difference in a contest where clean offensive rhythm mattered. Coretec's next outing in Europe comes soon. Gillet's efficiency sets a high bar.

Khalil Brantley has been the engine of Szolnoki's recent run—a 43.3 TIB efficiency rating, 13.8 points and 3 assists per game in current form. Pierre-Antoine Gillet will have his hands full keeping pace; Oostende's standout sits at 36.7 efficiency, anchoring the Belgian side with 10.3 points and 1.8 assists nightly. The gap in those numbers tells a story. Brantley has been operating at another tempo, controlling rhythm and spacing the floor in ways Gillet will need to match if Oostende want any rhythm on the road. Neither player is merely a scorer—both run offensive weight—but Brantley's recent efficiency and playmaking volume suggest he has tilted the balance in Szolnoki's favour heading into this one. Oostende are not without offensive answers; Gillet's consistency is real, and they will lean on it. But slowing Brantley's pace and limiting his creation margin will be the ask. FIBA Europe Cup intensity cranks higher now, and these two will set the tone. Coretec Oostende vs NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz tips off in three hours.
