Igokea m:tel

BASTIEN VAUTIER finished with 19 points and 8 rebounds in 25 minutes as Bilbao Basket controlled the road test against Igokea m:tel, winning 92–79 in Group G of the Basketball Champions League. Vautier made his presence felt inside, shooting 8 of 13 from the field and converting 3 of 5 free throws. He moved the ball minimally — no assists recorded — but his offensive workload was clear: eight of his 19 points came from inside the arc on a night when Bilbao's interior game proved too much for Igokea to manage. A single three-point attempt underlined where the damage was done. The 13-point margin reflected a composed away performance, with Vautier's efficiency rating highest among all players on the night. His lone turnover in 25 minutes spoke to a controlled outing; three fouls suggested he stayed disciplined around the rim.

Darrun Hilliard arrives in peak rhythm. The Bilbao Basket guard is running 63 TIB EFF through recent weeks, punctuating possessions with 18 points and 5 assists per game — the kind of floor management that turns close contests into comfortable wins. Igokea m:tel will counter with Sandro Antunovic, though his numbers carry different weight. The 42.9 TIB rating is pulled from the 2015-'16 campaign, a season in which he averaged 10.8 PPG. That baseline matters for understanding what he represents to this Igokea side — a reliable interior option — but Hilliard's current form is the sharper needle here. The asymmetry is instructive: Bilbao's lead guard is playing at a level that asks questions every time he touches the ball. Igokea will need to tighten around him in transition and off the catch. Tipoff in three hours.
